BRIDGE ACROSS ATLANTIC

African in America

The African in America
I live in the middle of the Atlantic
Dying to reach the Pacific
Standing in the middle of sacred waters
Eyes on America
Hands lifting Africa high and mighty
I'm the face of 2 worlds
2 roads to a single manifestation
Somewhere between rockets to the moon
Camels across deserts
Where extreme poverty meets excessive indulgence
Humility, the flip side of flamboyance
I live between ignorance and prejudice
One foot in the past
The other in the future
I am
The present that will forever remain an enigma comprehensible to few.

I think poem is the easiest way you use to express your feeling weather it is happiness or sadness so that is what Ebe is doing when he read his poem he is telling people what happened to him

he is not telling only about him ,he is talking about others feeling about themselves.

i think being with IBe was fun and it thought me a lot about poetry like how it does not only have to rhyme and it should be about how you feel deep down inside and how everything makes you feel at the moment.

i never would have thought that i would like cutting out tape and making words but it was really fun and clam and i am really happy that i got the chance to do the tape art

I like this poem very much, it reflects on the struggles everyone goes through and how it effects those around them
